RAMS "Past Greats" Gather for Luncheon

A number of Past General Chairmen within striking distance of the metropolitan Washington DC area gathered on Friday, May 20, at King's Contrivance Restaurant in Columbia, Maryland for lunch.

Pictured left to right are: seated Hal Jones (1985), Irwin Feigenbaum (1993), Henry Hartt (1999), Howard Kennedy (1982), Tom Fagan (1983), standing: Rick Jones (2009), Charlie Plotkin (2000), Kurt Greene 1981, and Naomi McAfee (1997). All of these RAMS Past General Chairman are IEEE Members except for Charlie Plotkin who is a Member of ASQC. In addition to being Past General Chairmen all served as Chairman of the RAMS Board of Directors. Collectively this group has provided over 150 years of service to RAMS by serving on the RAMS Management Committee, General Chair, and Board of Directors. Feigenbaum, Hartt, Fagan, and Jones continue to serve on the BOD with Fagan and Jones being the current two IEEE Reliability Society representatives to the RAMS BOD. Feigenbaum and Hartt serve on the Long Range Planning Committee.

RAMS Past General Chairman were also active in IEEE / Reliability Society: Hal Jones (IEEE Life Senior member), Irwin Feigenbaum (IEEE Life Senior member, held various RS officer positions), Henry Hartt (IEEE Life Member, held several RS officer positions), Howard Kennedy (IEEE Life Member), Tom Fagan (IEEE Life Fellow, held several RS officer positions plus was 17th RS President -- 1987 -1988), Rick Jones (IEEE Member), Kurt Greene (IEEE Life Senior member, held several RS officer positions), and Naomi McAfee (IEEE Life Senior member, held various RS officer positions plus was a RS President -- 1983 -1984).
